Updating the amiibo card template
In amiibo Festival's Desert Island Escape, every villager has a favourite fruit and special ability, I just thought it might be a good idea if we update the amiibo card template to include this and other information I may have forgotten to mention - ZCJigglypuff

Hey there!
I was looking at your furniture series showrooms for nolink, and I was wondering, how did you remove the player character? Did you take 2 screenshots and stitch them together, or did you use some sort of game modification in order to remove the player character or maybe move the camera? I'm curious because I've been taking a few screenshots myself and I might want to potentially use that technique. : My apologies for the abysmally slow reply, but I achieved that by taking two screenshots, each with my character in a different space in the room, but without the camera moving. If you have an editing program with layers, you would just line the images up exactly, in separate layers one on top of the other, then delete the character from the top layer and the room will now appear empty. ::Thank you for explaining! I'm not totally against splicing, since the image results are great. My only fear is that it introduces some complications with always obtaining the same room angle, and also it introduces room for human error compared to just a normal screenshot. For example, one splicing job I noticed by another person mistakenly left a piece of the HUD with the faded camera notification in the lower-right, and one splicing job I did myself I didn't notice had a minor alignment error until like a year later. If I do end up using that method, I'll just have to take more care when doing the actual splicing. Anyways, thanks again! Nice to hear from you! Glad to see you've been productive  (or trying to be...) and are going places in the romantic world. Splatoon is hella fun. Hey! Welcome back! I missed you! I was wondering when you'll be active again. Activity has certainly died a bit for me, however, but I still check here from time to time. I hope the the newer Animal Crossing games do get datamined as I've been checking for information on at least Happy Home Designer. I think, actually, our furniture images should use Happy Home Designer's sprites, and I've experimented with Patchwork items, but I appreciate more feedback. Thanks! 22:18, January 13, 2016 (EST)

:Glad you're still around! I checked the Patchwork items and I agree that the HHD sprites look great in the item lists and I would be in support of using them in place of the ACNL items (those come from the online Prima guide, right?). I still think that we should keep the ACNL images (if we have them uploaded) and move them to a gallery section at the bottom, because while the HHD sprites look nice, they aren't 100% accurate representations of what the item looks like in game. They are a bit stylized. I've checked and I *think* all of the sprites have been ripped, I've counted 1,734 furniture sprites in HHD... not sure if that's all the furniture in ACNL though? The main series/themes are there though and those matter the most. ::The New Leaf items are indeed from Prima, and I think Prima has everything. I'm also not sure if that's all the furniture items, but HHD does have the DLC stuff so chances are it has everything. While the sprites are stylized, they still give an accurate impression of what the furniture item looks like, not to mention that they at a consistent width and height unlike the Prima ones, and since they're transparent, they're more versatile, so I'd go for replacing them in general. I also agree moving Prima ones to a gallery just because, well, it doesn't hurt. 00:51, February 14, 2016 (EST)

:::I've uploaded all the images for the furniture series so far, and I see you've already replaced the images in at least one article- thanks for that! I will eventually go back and insert the images appropriately, but for now I'm focusing on editing and uploading them. If you ever have any time the images to the articles your help would be greatly appreciated. ::::Fantastic! Now to go in and add those images... that's gonna take a while. Any items in HHD that is absent? I mean, the game doesn't include them for whatever reason? 22:22, March 1, 2016 (EST)

Please don't upload too many images at once, as this floods the recent changes page and clogs up what the admins have to patrol. Thanks.

:It's poor courtesy to tell an administrator what to do, MLAATR-Girl22. If sunmarsh had been concerned about flooding the recent changes, I'm sure the directors would not have minded giving him temporary "bot" permissions. Also, sunmarsh's edits are automatically patrolled since he is an administrator. What about other users recent edits? Their edits might not be auto-patrolled like Sunmarsh because they might not be admins

:For the record, there is no problem with uploading many images as long as they're constructive. :I do appreciate everyone's concern, and as others have already mentioned, as an administrator I'm well aware of what I'm doing, thanks. The images will be used on item pages in place of the ACNL images which will be moved to the gallery section of the page. I planned to post something about this on the Community Fountain to let everyone know what was going on, but I hadn't gotten around to it yet. Hi, I hope you enjoyed your break. Could you please take a look at Crossing: City Folk for me? I just completed the page, but the template needs a few corrections (the red links at the top, and also the 'Locations' parameter has pale text which is barely readable). Thanks! ::Alright, I've made the necessary changes. The Locations column had gray text because it used to be the Months column, which needs that text color because the months are abbreviated by their first letter and those in which the bug appears are highlighted green and the rest are left gray. The gray is automatically applied to that column, but the highlighting needs to be done by hand. I edited the page to correct that. The reason the links don't work is because the gamelink parameter is currently coded to only work properly with ACNL tables. Once I recode it to work with other games I will restore it on that page. Animal Crossing furniture showrooms[edit]

I was looking at your furniture series showrooms for Animal Crossing, and I was wondering, how did you remove the player character? Did you take 2 screenshots and stitch them together, or did you use some sort of game modification in order to remove the player character or maybe move the camera? I'm curious because I've been taking a few screenshots myself and I might want to potentially use that technique. HylianAngel (talk) 22:30, September 30, 2022 (EDT)

My apologies for the abysmally slow reply, but I achieved that by taking two screenshots, each with my character in a different space in the room, but without the camera moving. If you have an editing program with layers, you would just line the images up exactly, in separate layers one on top of the other, then delete the character from the top layer and the room will now appear empty. Thank you for explaining! HylianAngel (talk) 15:26, February 16, 2023 (EST)
