Animal Crossing furniture showrooms[edit]
I was looking at your furniture series showrooms for Animal Crossing, and I was wondering, how did you remove the player character? Did you take 2 screenshots and stitch them together, or did you use some sort of game modification in order to remove the player character or maybe move the camera? I'm curious because I've been taking a few screenshots myself and I might want to potentially use that technique. HylianAngel (talk) 22:30, September 30, 2022 (EDT)
- My apologies for the abysmally slow reply, but I achieved that by taking two screenshots, each with my character in a different space in the room, but without the camera moving. If you have an editing program with layers, you would just line the images up exactly, in separate layers one on top of the other, then delete the character from the top layer and the room will now appear empty. - Thank you for explaining! I'm not totally against splicing, since the image results are great. My only fear is that it introduces some complications with always obtaining the same room angle, and also it introduces room for human error compared to just a normal screenshot. For example, one splicing job I noticed by another person mistakenly left a piece of the HUD with the faded camera notification in the lower-right, and one splicing job I did myself I didn't notice had a minor alignment error until like a year later. If I do end up using that method, I'll just have to take more care when doing the actual splicing. Anyways, thanks again! HylianAngel (talk) 15:26, February 16, 2023 (EST)
